About Us

Leslie Wood has been in the transportation industry throughout the entirety of his career.  In 2011, he started AJT Safety, LLC, taking his decade of experience and knowledge with him to create a different kind of safety company.  As he helped customer after customer with their DOT audits, he started developing DOT Shield to keep his customers from being caught in a position where they would be paying fines for simple errors.  He separated the companies in 2015 and has been developing DOT Shield into an industry changing compliance platform, and helping customers avoid paying costly penalties ever since.  

Keri Lesur started her DOT career with AJT in 2015 coming from a background of quality control, customer service, and human resources. Keri has been an integral part of the development, testing, and usage of the company’s proprietary compliance software, DOT Shield. Keri enjoys building strong relationships with clients and drivers to help them reach their goals and succeed. When not with her AJT family, Keri enjoys spending time and making memories with her husband and three kids.

Melissa Garcia is a former Texas Department of Public Safety Compliance Review investigator. Melissa started with AJT Compliance, LLC in 2017 and has been a solid presence in the company’s expansion. As a former investigator, Melissa specializes in assisting carriers with Federal Safety Audits and Compliance Reviews and in obtaining and modifying DOT operating authority. Melissa has an extensive knowledge of FMCSA regulations, Clearinghouse, and many other complex administration tasks.

Brian Gunier is an experienced safety, logistics, and business manager. Driven by customer service, he takes pride in providing the best customer experience possible. As an Onboarding Manager, his goals include setting the tone for our client’s overall experience with AJT and seamless integration into our DOT Shield program. In addition to his primary job functions, he is a proud father of 2 and loves the outdoors.

Josh Adams is the Quality Control Manager for AJT Compliance. He specializes in maintaining customer accounts and relationships while handling maintenance and citations resulting from DOT roadside inspections. He joined the AJT family in early 2021 after spending 8 years in the United States Marine Corps, and 13 years as a Texas Peace Officer.  His free time is spent with his wife and three kids at whatever sporting event they are currently participating in.

Kathy Grubb is a former Texas Department of Public Safety Compliance Review investigator. She retired from the State of Texas in 2021 with 19 years of service in Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and Driver’s Licenses.  Kathy started with AJT Compliance, LLC in 2021 and is bringing her years of expertise and her connections from all over the country to assist with ensuring compliance. As a former investigator, Kathy specializes in roadside inspections as a certified level 1 inspector and has years of expertise in conducting large compliance reviews and safety audits.  

Gavin Thompson is a young, energetic, and driven salesperson. He comes from a background in sales with Freightliner and has been involved in the heavy-duty industry his entire career. As the Sales Manager he is responsible for driving new business and building lasting relationships with all of our clients. He loves meeting new customers and helping them visualize how AJT can help take their compliance to a new level. His goal is to always present AJT in a professional manner and to keep a culture of success thriving among his team members and clients.
